Engineering Entry-Level Maintenance Technician

• Perform routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and building systems.
• Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance activities on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions and report findings to senior technicians or supervisors.
• Complete work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Support installation, modification, and repair of facility equipment and systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential maintenance concerns.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Document maintenance activities and update maintenance records accurately.
• Assist with emergency repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to support production and facility goals.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, vocational training, or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.

Experience

• 0-2 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or technical experience.
• Internship, apprenticeship, military, or technical training experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
