Cable Technician
Location: Garland, Texas & Wilmer, Texas (On-site)
Role Overview
We are seeking Cable Deployment Technicians to support the buildout and expansion of a large-scale data infrastructure campus. This is an opportunity to join a team responsible for installing, deploying, and maintaining the physical network infrastructure that powers mission-critical environments. Candidates with experience in structured cabling, fiber, copper, low-voltage systems, telecommunications, industrial construction, or data centers are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities

• Move and implement large enterprise equipment.
• Install, route, and secure fiber optic and copper cabling.
• Perform patching activities between equipment and within server racks.
• Ensure safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation.
• Follow established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities.
• Safely use material handling tools and equipment.
• Support server rack and network equipment deployments.
• Assist with infrastructure inventory and materials tracking.
• Follow ticketing systems and workflow processes to complete assigned work.
• Maintain accurate documentation and status updates.

Required Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Experience in construction, electrical, low voltage installation, telecommunications, fiber installation, utility work, or related technical environments.
Technical Skills: Ability to pull cable, perform physical work, and interpret work instructions, construction drawings, or cable layouts. Candidates must demonstrate a strong mindset for safety and possess reliable transportation to the worksite.
Preferred Qualifications

• Experience installing structured cabling or low-voltage systems.
• Experience working with fiber optic and copper infrastructure.
• Backgrounds in industrial construction, electrical, utility, or oil and gas fields.
• Experience working from scissor lifts, elevated work platforms, or aerial lifts.
• Experience with cable testing and validation.

Shift Information
Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Rotation Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday and Wednesday - Saturday (4x10 schedule, 40-hour work weeks).
Safety and Physical Requirements
This role involves standing and walking for extended periods, and lifting and moving infrastructure materials in active construction and operational environments. Strict adherence to all safety procedures, including working at heights and utilizing scissor lifts, and the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
