Max Planck Information and Technology (MaxIT) is a new central IT facility for the Max Planck Society, established on January 1, 2026. It consolidates and coordinates central IT activities, merging the former Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL) and the General Administration's Information and Communication Technology (IKT) department. MaxIT serves as a partner for science and administration, shaping strategies and technologies in digitalization, Open Science, library services, publishing, IT infrastructure, and IT security.
