The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA) is building a new 10.2km rail line featuring twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and CBD, with four new underground stations. This project aims to unlock a bottleneck in the South East Queensland rail network, enabling more frequent train services. CRRDA is also undertaking supporting projects, including surface station accessibility rebuilds, new Gold Coast stations, stabling yard upgrades, and the implementation of a new digital signaling system.
