In the UK, they have over 600 employees based in London, Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester, and operate in an agile environment with a start-up feel.
The Challenge
EPAM came to Haystack as a new avenue to hire tech talent in the North East and remotely across the UK. With the consistent growth they’ve been experiencing, their ambitions were to quadruple their headcount in their Newcastle office.
“EPAM continues its rapid growth, like a start-up, growing at scale globally. We now operate in over 40 countries globally and in the last 12 months, we have hired over 20,000 talented EPAMers globally. Advocacy and Community engagement are important to us. We leverage our own community platform, community-z, which engages with 100,000+ people through worldwide/local events, trainings, meetups and hackathons. Key to our talent attraction strategy and channel mix is promoting our employer brand and job opportunities on epam.com/careers, leveraging a mix of highly relevant global/local job boards, social media, and community platforms, and our own Talent Acquisition teams. We initially saw Haystack through local press in the North East of England, and as we also have a presence in Newcastle, it seemed like a good opportunity to partner and engage local talent. By leveraging Haystack we have been able to better activate our talent attraction strategy locally.”
The Solution
Haystack is helping EPAM to build their talent pools long-term as well as hire top tech talent across the UK right now to meet their hiring needs.
“There were some real standout candidates on Haystack that potentially weren’t on any other platforms as they weren’t actively looking.”
“We now have engaged with 6 candidates through Haystack that have either been onboarded as full-time EPAM employees.”
With a dedicated Customer Success Manager, Haystack is working closely with EPAM to continue to build and optimise their profile and spot users who would be a great fit for EPAM as a company.
“Our Customer Success Manager, Harriet is so helpful to keep on top of things that might often get lost. She is super responsive and friendly. It’s great to have someone there who understands our business, our challenges and the opportunities.”
“We’re very impressed with how Haystack is working so far!”
