JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:
Physical ability to perform inspections and light maintenance tasks as needed
Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life
safety).
Basic computer skills, including work order systems, email, and recordkeeping
Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Preventive maintenance planning and execution.
Ability to assess repair needs and prioritize work orders.
Grounds maintenance oversight (playgrounds, fields, snow/leaf removal, etc.).

Required Skills & Experience:
Demonstrated experience managing building maintenance, repairs, and vendor
relationships.
Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and school compliance
requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in
facilities management, construction management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or operations.

DESCRIPTION:
The Facilities Supervisor supervises physical plant operations, including all buildings
and grounds, utilities, energy management systems, and safety/security systems to
provide a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for students, faculty, and staff.
The individual in this position assists in the scheduling and supervision of maintenance
and repair activities, contracted services, and custodial services, and helps ensure the
physical operation of the school meets budgetary and strategic objectives.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Responsible for safety and security, electrical, plumbing, heating, air
conditioning, and ventilation services.
Oversees external contractors (electricians, plumbers, excavators, roofers,
painters, landscapers, etc.) while they work on campus.
Orders equipment and supplies and monitors inventory.
In coordination with the Director of Facilities, develops, implements, and
supervises preventative maintenance and renovation programs for buildings,
grounds, mechanical and electrical, utility, and safety and security systems.
Communicates with custodial crew engaged in cleaning buildings and premises
regarding campus needs.
Ensures the proper disposal of hazardous and controlled wastes in compliance
with regulations and guidelines; works directly with outside agencies such as
OSHA, and local and state health departments as required.
Evaluates the need for and arranges for landscaping and tree maintenance.
Sets up, takes down, and stores furniture for school events as needed.
Performs other related tasks as requested by the Director of Facilities, or their
designee
