• 60 Months of Experience web application development in Java/J2EE programming language. 

• 60 Months of Experience using web browser based development tools (in IE, Firefox, Chrome, or Edge) for debugging problems encountered with the usage of JavaScript, AJAX service calls, and CSS / HTML formatting. 

• 18 months of experience working with projects or programs relating to higher education services. 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, Management Information Systems or Information Security)

Detailed Job Description: Based on Governor’s Office priorities, there are crucial initiatives that benefit New York State Higher Education Services (HESC) and are part of the ITS/HESC project portfolio. This position will supplement the GLP development staff for governor initiatives resulting from the 2023 NYS Budget and that affect HESC’s Grants and Scholarship as well as Loan Forgiveness programs.
