Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Engineer / Oracle SQL-PLSQL Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, MS SQL Server, database design, and performance tuning and a proven ability to design, develop, review, and optimize database changes within Agile delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and review database changes across enterprise systems.


• Implement robust SQL and PL/SQL solutions following normalization and data modeling best practices.


• Conduct performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and use of AWR/ASH/Explain Plan.


• Collaborate within Agile teams using JIRA to plan and deliver database work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.


• Expert-level proficiency with the latest Oracle Database version, including architecture, memory structures, and background processes.


• Proficiency with TOAD and similar database development tools; experience with OEM.


• Proven database design and data modeling expertise, including ER diagrams and normalization.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication and leadership capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with MS SQL Server and MongoDB.


• Knowledge of shell scripting and Python for database task automation.


• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including Jenkins, Git, and Datical.


• Background in the financial domain and data security, encryption, and compliance standards.

Additional Details:

• Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite. Onsite from day 1.


• Start month: September or October. Two interview rounds: first video, second in person.


• This role will not provide sponsorship now or in the future.

Primary | Secondary | Tertiary Skills:

• Primary: Oracle SQL / PL-SQL.


• Secondary: MS SQL Server.


• Tertiary: Performance tuning and capacity monitoring engineering.
