Position: PermanentLocation: London or Manchester - Hybrid 2 days a week on site
Our client, a prestigious and well-established leader in the legal sector, is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer. You will be instrumental in protecting the firm's digital information and IT infrastructure from cyber threats. The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing advanced security measures and technologies to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber incidents.
- Conducting analysis of cyber attacks to understand attack vectors and consequences, and devising strategies to mitigate future risks.
- Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of cyber threat intelligence to anticipate potential security breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborating with IT staff to ensure all IT initiatives are aligned with the firm's security policies and protocols.
- Providing consulting to the organization on best security practices and recommendations in light of emerging IT trends and threats.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across the firm's infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments. Working closely with IT, risk, and business stakeholders, you will help strengthen the firm's security posture, support security initiatives, and respond to emerging cyber threats.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in cyber security engineering or a related security role.
- Previous consulting experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies, including SIEM, EDR, IAM, vulnerability management, and cloud security.
- Experience implementing and managing security controls in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, risk management, and incident response.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
