Job Description

Senior Cloud Native Architect
Remote – United States

Contract - W2 Only (C2C and Sponsorship NOT Available)

This role is with a growing Professional Services team and combines deep cloud-native technical expertise with customer-facing architecture and consulting responsibilities.

What They’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in several of the following areas:

  • Senior-level experience as a Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect, Consultant, or Professional Services Engineer
  • 5+ years architecting Kubernetes environments in enterprise settings
  • Strong OpenShift experience
  • Experience leading customer architecture discussions, discovery sessions, and gathering business requirements
  • Professional Services or consulting experience
Technical Environment
  • Kubernetes
  • OpenShift
  • Linux administration
  • Infrastructure as Code — Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • CI/CD and GitOps
  • Hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments
  • AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Portworx
  • Cloud-native storage platforms
  • Stateful/containerized database environments
  • Enterprise consulting
  • Mentoring architects or engineering teams
What the Role Looks Like
This is not a traditional DevOps or infrastructure support position. The focus is on working directly with enterprise customers to understand their business and technical goals, design solutions, and guide them through implementation.
You would be responsible for:
  • Leading customer discovery sessions and architecture discussions
  • Designing scalable and resilient cloud-native architectures
  • Deploying and optimizing Kubernetes and OpenShift environments
  • Leading technical implementations and customer workshops
  • Providing architectural guidance and best practices
  • Troubleshooting complex Kubernetes and infrastructure issues
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code and supporting CI/CD/GitOps
  • Providing knowledge transfer and operational readiness training
  • Partnering with engineering, support, and delivery teams
Additional Requirements
  • 7+ years of enterprise infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering experience
  • Deep production Kubernetes experience
  • Strong OpenShift experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead customer-facing technical discussions
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements
