Job Description

Building Services Engineer (M&amp;E)<br />Location: Nottingham<br />Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience<br />Join a Growing Consultancy Where Your Career Can Thrive<br />Are you an experienced Building Services Engineer looking to take the next step in your career?<br />We're recruiting on behalf of an established and growing engineering consultancy that delivers innovative, sustainable Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) design solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.<br />This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll play an integral role in delivering projects from concept through to completion while developing your technical expertise and progressing your career.<br />The Role<br />Working from the Nottingham office, you'll be involved throughout the RIBA Plan of Work, supporting the design, coordination and delivery of high-quality building services solutions.<br />Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing mechanical and electrical building services systems.
  • Producing engineering calculations, technical reports and specifications.
  • Creating and coordinating BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Working closely with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Carrying out site surveys, inspections and commissioning support.
  • Developing practical, low-carbon engineering solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with current Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act and industry standards.<br />About You<br />We're looking for someone who is technically strong, collaborative and passionate about delivering quality engineering solutions.<br />You'll ideally have:
  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related built-environment discipline.
  • A minimum of three years' post-qualification experience, ideally around five years, gained within an MEP consultancy or design-and-build environment.
  • Experience supporting projects through design, coordination, site inspections and commissioning.
  • Good working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and relevant engineering calculation software.
  • An interest in sustainable and low-carbon building design.
  • A collaborative approach with the flexibility to work across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • The ability to travel independently to project sites, surveys and client meetings.
  • The ability to commute to the Nottingham office (ideally within approximately 45 minutes).
  • A stable employment history with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.<br />What's on Offer?<br />In return, you'll receive an excellent package including:
