Job Title: Material Planner (SAP MM/PP)

Location: Richmond, VA (Onsite)
Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Job Summary

Avanciers are seeking an experienced Material Planner with a strong background in Supply Chain, Material Planning, Inventory Management, and SAP MM/PP. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end inventory planning, ensuring material availability, maintaining inventory parameters, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Material Planning, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Inventory Management
• Hands-on experience with SAP MM/PP (Mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of Inventory Management & Control
• Advanced analytical skills with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Power BI and/or Power Query preferred
• Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end material and inventory planning to support manufacturing operations.
• Define and maintain inventory policies, safety stock, reorder points, lead times, and replenishment strategies.
• Monitor inventory levels and analyze material shortages.
• Coordinate with purchasing teams to resolve supply issues and improve supplier performance.
• Maintain planning parameters within SAP and ensure data accuracy.
• Support inventory optimization initiatives through reporting and data analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Manufacturing, and Customer Service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, and advanced reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of supply chain planning and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
