The Net Zero Data Foundations team is hiring a Program Manager on a contingent basis to cover a team lead's leave. During this period, this role will support senior technical and strategic leads with program management, coordination, analytics, and reporting. The role requires 5+ years of experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, experience working with large datasets and analytics, and the ability to communicate status and insights to technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with corporate greenhouse gas accounting and emissions forecasting is required. This is a full-time position during the contract term.
Responsibilities:
- Drive day-to-day execution across pod workstreams, including GHG inventory, emissions forecasting, measurement, and supplier emissions, while tracking milestones, dependencies, and risks.
- Develop and maintain program management artifacts such as roadmaps, trackers, status reports, and executive-ready updates for leadership and cross-functional forums.
- Support preparation for and facilitation of team meetings and cross-functional syncs, including agendas, decision logs, action items, and follow-through to closure.
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting cadences, including execution updates, executive meeting preparation, and deck creation using established templates and inputs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to keep data and process flows moving from data sources through to disclosures.
- Contribute to triage and response of incoming research, data, and analytical requests.
- Track progress against targets and benchmark performance against internal KPIs and stakeholder expectations.
- Support lightweight data pulls, QA, and validation to keep reporting and analysis on schedule.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- BA or BS in social sciences, physical sciences, math, engineering, accounting, statistics, business, environment, or a sustainability-focused field.
- 5+ years in program management, business operations, or project coordination, ideally with technical or data-oriented teams.
- Familiarity with corporate GHG emissions accounting concepts, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3, and with emissions forecasting or scenario modeling.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to self-manage complex delivery in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting data and insights to varied audiences and creating graphics for leadership presentations.
- High proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel and slide creation, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with comfort navigating ambiguity.
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of current practices and trends in GHG emissions and broader sustainability reporting.
- Experience using data access tools and building visualizations from large datasets and multiple data sources, particularly with Tableau and Excel.
- Experience with a scripting or query language such as SQL or Python sufficient to run or QA basic data pulls.
- Familiarity with external reporting standards such as CDP, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, and SASB.
- Experience working in large, matrixed organizations and coordinating across cross-functional partners.
