Technical Project Manager – Infrastructure (SAP S/4HANA) - USC/

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager – Infrastructure to lead infrastructure workstreams for large-scale SAP S/4HANA digital transformation and migration programs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing enterprise infrastructure projects, SAP environments, cloud platforms, data centers, and migration initiatives.

This role will work closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional and technical teams, infrastructure architects, cloud providers, security teams, and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery of SAP S/4HANA infrastructure and migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead end-to-end infrastructure activities for SAP S/4HANA transformation and migration projects.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, SAP Basis, Network, Security, Cloud, Database, and Application teams.
• Track project progress and ensure deliverables are completed within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Drive project governance, status reporting, technical reviews, and executive communications.
• Manage project dependencies across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.

Infrastructure Management

• Plan and oversee infrastructure readiness for SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Manage requirements related to servers, storage, databases, networks, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.
• Coordinate provisioning and configuration of Development, QA/Test, Staging, and Production environments.
• Ensure infrastructure meets requirements for scalability, performance, availability, capacity, and disaster recovery.
• Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, environment refreshes, system copies, and technical remediation activities.

SAP S/4HANA Migration

• Support and manage infrastructure activities for Greenfield, Brownfield, and Hybrid SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Coordinate SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration infrastructure activities.
• Partner with SAP Basis and application teams to ensure technical readiness for migration.
• Lead infrastructure cutover planning, migration rehearsals, mock cutovers, and production cutover activities.
• Track migration dependencies, technical risks, and readiness criteria.
• Coordinate post-migration stabilization and infrastructure support activities.

Cloud, Security & Compliance

• Collaborate with cloud providers and technical teams on SAP infrastructure hosted in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform environments.
• Coordinate cloud infrastructure provisioning, migration, connectivity, and readiness activities.
• Ensure infrastructure complies with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate activities related to identity and access management, backup/recovery, cybersecurity, network security, and disaster recovery.
• Work with security and architecture teams to address infrastructure risks and compliance requirements.

Risk & Stakeholder Management

• Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and infrastructure constraints.
• Provide regular project status updates to program leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Facilitate technical governance meetings, steering committee meetings, and project reviews.
• Manage third-party vendors, cloud providers, infrastructure partners, and service delivery commitments.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration across technical and business teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of Technical Project Management experience managing enterprise infrastructure programs.
• 5+ years of experience working on SAP projects, including SAP S/4HANA transformation or migration programs.

• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Strong project planning, risk management, dependency management, and governance skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Experience managing vendors and third-party service providers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
• SAP infrastructure or SAP Basis background is highly preferred.
• Experience with SAP environments hosted on hyperscale cloud platforms.
• Experience with SAP technical architecture, HANA database platforms, and data center migrations.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
• Experience managing complex enterprise programs involving multiple vendors and geographically distributed teams.
