Role Overview
The Customer Care Representative - Fire is focused on maintaining and growing sales within a defined customer base and geographical territory. In this role, you will build trusted customer relationships, support retention of preventative maintenance and service agreements, and help improve customer satisfaction while driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow sales within a defined customer base and geographical territory.
- Develop and execute a customer-focused strategy to increase retention of preventative maintenance contracts, revenue per customer, and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the assigned customer base and build strong ongoing relationships.
- Maintain detailed account knowledge, including key decision makers, equipment, service contracts, and account history.
- Manage retention activities within an assigned service agreement customer base.
- Partner with district operations to improve service delivery and resolve customer issues.
- Determine customer needs and develop sales strategies to meet those objectives.
- Deliver increased sales against an assigned quota and report progress and metrics on a weekly and monthly basis.

- Own outcomes with accountability, safety, and integrity by following Johnson Controls policies, procedures, products, programs, and services in every customer interaction.
- Stay close to the work and the customer by understanding each account in depth and focusing on the issues that most affect retention, service delivery, and satisfaction.
- Improve every day through candor and problem-solving by using metrics, customer feedback, and sales results to refine your approach.
- Win as one team by partnering closely with district operations and corporate teams to remove obstacles and support customers effectively.
- Communicate clearly, qualify opportunities quickly, and keep customers informed with timely follow-up and professional service.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- 2+ years of sales and/or customer service experience with a similar product, service, or industry.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly qualify opportunities.
- High degree of self-discipline and a strong focus on follow-through.
- Independent, creative thinker who can work with initiative and sound judgment.
- Ability to sell intangible services.
- Highly motivated and success-driven.
Nice to Have
- BA, BS, or a similar degree.
- Experience with preventative maintenance contracts, service agreement sales, or customer retention in a recurring-service environment.

Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $66k-80k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
