An excellent opportunity for an experienced Quarry Plant Service Engineer to join a well-established company.<br />Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.<br />Salary: Competitive Salary of £65,000 PA Plus OTE.<br />Location:
Hemerdon Mine, Plymouth.<br />About the Role:<br />The company have a large processing contract in the newly re-opened Hemerdon Mine, near Plympton.
Hemerdon Mine produces the precious-earth metal called Tungsten.<br />They have an exciting opportunity for several experienced, enthusiastic and highly self-motivated Field Service Engineers to complement their established and successful team.<br />The company are looking for team-players, who will work to the highest standards in problem solving, fault-finding, service and repair functions on quarry crushing and screening plant.<br />Key Duties (but not limited too):<br />Ensure all site operational tasks are being completed under the correct Health & Safety paperwork and in a safe manner<br />Assist Site with break downs as and when they occur<br />Carry out routine maintenance to prevent downtime<br />Compile technical reports following services and breakdown<br />Liaising with other team members to agree parts requirements<br />Completing plant breakdowns and repairs in a timely manner<br />Completing all plant equipment servicing and testing<br />Assist on plant installations when required<br />Resolve on-site issues occurring during installations when required<br />Compile lists of refurbishment requirements prior to plant removal / re-installation<br />Liaise with Service team to resolve any ongoing site operational / technical issues<br />Assist in site operator awareness training to optimise plant performance<br />Performance Measures:<br />Improve Efficiency<br />Essential Insights<br />Reduce Downtime<br />Optimise performance<br />Skills & Experience:<br />Relevant Engineering qualifications<br />CSCS Safe pass (non essential)<br />Quarry pass<br />Driving license. (essential)<br />Vehicle Maintenance<br />Previous Field Service Plant Fitter/Engineer experience essential<br />Crushing and screening plant experience essential<br />Experience of servicing construction equipment essential<br />The candidate will have all the relevant qualifications and a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the mechanical engineering industry with good knowledge in hydraulics, electrics and engine<br />Training and development opportunities<br />Problem solving and decision-making skills<br />Excellent communication and ‘people skills’<br />Good planning and organisational skills<br />Ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines, with minimum supervision and calmly under pressure<br />Self-motivated and able to work individually and as part of a team<br />Fault find quickly and maintain positive working relationships<br />We are looking for a team player<br />If you feel that you have the relative skills/attributes to fulfil this role then please apply now for immediate consideration.<br />The employer fully supports Equality in Employment.
