PowerServer Engineer Location: London Hybrid 60% office 40% remote Duration: 30/11/2026 Rate - £257 MUST BE PAYE THROUGH UMBRELLA Role Description: Job Summary We are seeking an experienced PowerServer Engineer to support audit, investigation, and strategic planning activities related to our existing PowerBuilder/PowerServer applications.

The ideal candidate will assess current systems, identify gaps, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization, modernization, or migration.

Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive audit and assessment of existing PowerServer/PowerBuilder applications<br />Conduct root cause analysis and investigations for performance, stability, and scalability issues<br />Analyze application architecture, deployment setup, and integration workflows<br />Identify technical risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities<br />Prepare detailed assessment reports, findings, and recommendations<br />Collaborate with stakeholders to define modernization or migration strategy<br />Create roadmaps and implementation plans for future upgrades or enhancements<br />Provide guidance on best practices, security, and performance optimization<br />Support decision-making through technical insights and feasibility analysis<br />Required Skills &amp; Qualifications<br />Strong experience with PowerBuilder and PowerServer<br />Proven experience in application auditing, system analysis, or consulting roles<br />Solid understanding of client-server and web-based architectures<br />Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting<br />Knowledge of database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)<br />Ability to analyze legacy systems and recommend modernization approaches<br />Strong documentation and reporting skills<br />Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities Preferred Skills Experience with application migration (on-prem to cloud or web)<br />Familiarity with Appeon PowerServer<br />Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)<br />Knowledge of security and compliance standards<br />Prior consulting or advisory experience<br />Deliverables Expected<br />System audit report<br />Risk and gap analysis<br />Recommendations for improvement/modernization<br />Strategic roadmap and execution planIf you receive suspicious outreach claiming to be from us, please contact us via the ManpowerGroup website
