Body Engineering Mechanical Design Engineer

We require a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5 years of experience with the below skills for our client in Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support design and development of BIW, Closures, Body Structure, and Trim components.
• Create and update CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs.
• Conduct package studies, tolerance analysis, and design feasibility assessments.
• Support prototype builds, engineering releases, and design change activities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, CAE, Quality, and Supplier teams.

Skills Required:

• CATIA V5/V6 or NX.
• Knowledge of sheet metal design, body structures, closures, and joining technologies.
• Understanding of DFMEA, GD&T, APQP, and automotive launch processes.
• Experience in product development and engineering change management.
