Mainframe Test Lead

At least 4+ years as Test Lead managing end-to-end testing engagements - Should be recent.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SIT, System Testing, Regression Testing, and UAT activities for Mainframe modernization initiatives.
• Define Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Scenarios, and Test Execution approach.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Customer stakeholders.
• Manage test estimations, reporting, defect triage, and release sign-offs.
• Drive quality assurance across Mainframe and AWS-integrated applications.
• Mentor and guide testing teams across onsite/offshore locations.

Technical Skills Mandatory

• Mainframe Testing
• COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS
• Batch and Online Testing
• File Validation and Data Reconciliation
• SQL and Database Testing
• Defect Management using JIRA / ALM

Preferred

• AWS Workspaces / DynamoDB knowledge
• API Testing (Postman/SOAP UI)
• Automation Testing exposure (TOSCA, Selenium, UFT)
• CI/CD and DevOps testing practices

Domain Experience

• Banking, Payments, Insurance, or Financial Services preferred.
• Stakeholder Management
• Test Governance & Reporting
• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in Mainframe to AWS migration/testing programs.
• Experience validating data migration and cloud-hosted replacements of legacy mainframe applications.
