Maintenance Technician II

Akkodis is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for a Contract with a client in Gurnee, IL. The ideal candidate with skilled in independently troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in manufacturing environments.

Rate Range: $20/hour to $33/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Maintenance Technician II Job Responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, automation systems, auxiliary equipment, and facility systems.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and restore production equipment safely and efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, continuous improvement initiatives, and maintenance of robotic/automated systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, follow LOTO, GMP, and safety procedures, and collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to resolve equipment-related issues.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma, technical certification, apprenticeship, or equivalent industrial maintenance training preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with the ability to independently diagnose complex equipment failures.
• Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding, automation, and production equipment, preferably within FDA-regulated or ISO 13485 manufacturing environments.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $33.00 per hour
