Clinical Data Scientist

Location: Burlingame, California (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a clinical research data scientist or biostatistician to execute analyses and reporting for digital health projects. In this role, you will work with interdisciplinary teams of product managers, engineers, clinicians, and researchers to plan and execute research and validation of novel digital approaches to measuring and improving health and wellness. The ideal candidate will have experience in the development and execution of statistical analysis plans for clinical or digital health research studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use advanced statistical software, methods, and techniques to gather, analyze, and interpret research data to derive useful information.
  • Execute and evaluate machine learning model performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of clinical trial documents, reports, protocols, brochures, scientific abstracts, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and regulatory communications.
  • Maintain clinical research standards to ensure validity and reproducibility of results, performing data cleaning activities including handling data discrepancies, missing values, and outliers.
  • Work effectively across health technology research, engineering, and product teams, providing analytic expertise.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends in data science.
  • Perform data standardization or ETL tasks.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of industry experience, including working knowledge of time series data and preprocessing. Experience with biosensors such as PPG, ECG, or accelerometers, as well as experience working on medical devices or wearable technology is required.

Technical Skills: Strong coding experience in Python and knowledge of data standardization.
