Clearance: Active Secret clearance; Interim Secret acceptable during onboarding
Travel: Up to 25%
Employment: Full-time; contingent upon contract award
Essnova is seeking two Senior Aerospace/Mechanical Engineers to provide aircraft analysis, integration, airworthiness, and testing support for U.S. Army aviation research and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Define technical performance measures for test and evaluation.
- Perform post-test data collection and analysis.
- Develop modeling and simulation environments, system architectures, and verification plans.
- Generate designs, drawings, and substantiation documentation supporting aircraft integration.
- Prepare airworthiness substantiation packages.
- Develop test plans and reports for structural, material, environmental, electromagnetic, vibration, and system testing.
- Produce stress and test reports addressing applicable specifications, FAA requirements, maneuver loads, crash loads, and fatigue loads.
- Analyze vibration data and Resonance Assessment Profile testing.
- Oversee less-senior engineering personnel and present technical findings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, including classical analysis, finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and finite/infinite life assessment.
- One of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of relevant aviation or R&D test, analysis, and reporting experience.
- Master’s degree and at least six years of relevant experience.
- Doctoral degree and at least three years of relevant experience.
- Active Secret clearance; Interim Secret acceptable during onboarding.
- Ability to work primarily onsite at Fort Eustis and travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Army aviation airworthiness or AR 70-62 experience.
- Aircraft structural analysis, FEA, fatigue, vibration, or rotorcraft experience.
- Military aircraft integration and testing experience.

Selected candidates must provide a qualification-traceable résumé and sign a Letter of Commitment confirming availability at the anticipated start of contract performance.
