Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) – VKS(VMware Kubernetes Solutions vSphere Kubernetes Solutions) specialist to support enterprise clients with the design, implementation, optimization, and operational support of Kubernetes platforms within VMware Cloud Foundation environments. This individual will serve as a technical leader responsible for platform engineering, Kubernetes operations, infrastructure modernization, and client-facing consulting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Kubernetes solutions using VMware Kubernetes Services (VKS) and VMware Tanzu technologies.
- Develop scalable, secure, and highly available container platform architectures.
- Assess client requirements and provide recommendations for cloud-native platform adoption.
- Deploy, configure, and support Kubernetes clusters within VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
- Perform upgrades, migrations, lifecycle management, and integration activities.
- Conduct troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical workshops, and client advisory sessions.
- Develop design documents, implementation plans, operational runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams.
Required Qualifications
- VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Administrator VKS 9.0 (Required)
- Strong experience with:
- VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
- VMware Tanzu
- Kubernetes Administration
- VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
- VMware NSX and vSAN
- Linux Administration
- Hybrid Cloud Technologies
- Demonstrated ability to independently design and implement complex Kubernetes-based solutions.
- Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- DevOps and GitOps methodology experience
- Platform Engineering experience
- CI/CD pipeline integration
- Public Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Enterprise-scale Kubernetes deployments
