LDC Developer

LDC (Local Data Capture) Developer Remote with 2 days on site per MONTH in Telford Inside IR35, £500 - £525 P/D 6 months, scope to extend We are seeking a motivated and adaptable developer to join the LDC (Local Data Capture) capability within our clients wder engineering set-up. This role is well suited to someone with a strong core development background who is keen to learn and work within a complex legacy estate, supporting the ongoing delivery and stability of critical public facing services. The successful candidate will work closely with Delivery Leads, engineers, and service teams to develop and support LDC components, while building knowledge of the platform and its associated tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and support LDC components within the estate<br />Contribute to delivery of changes, ensuring quality and stability across releases<br />Investigate and resolve defects and production issues<br />Work closely with Delivery Managers and service teams to align development with delivery and live service priorities<br />Adhere to established processes, controls, and standards within a legacy environment<br />Actively build knowledge of the LDC platform and associated technologiesTechnical Skills / Experience: Strong general development background with a willingness to learn legacy technologies<br />Experience or exposure to: VB6<br />Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0<br />NuMega DevPartner Studio<br />VB6 ActiveX Components<br />VBA<br />Experience working with integration and tooling, including: SOAP Toolkits<br />Team Foundation Server (TFS)<br />XML<br />Edge<br />Integrated Single Sign On (ISSO)<br />Experience working in controlled, production-critical environments is beneficialDesirable: Exposure to (or willingness to learn): GovRules Client<br />GovRules Integrated Design Environment<br />GovRules Native Language (Java-derived)
