Notes:

In-office days Wednesday and Thursday; the rest of the week is remote.
Licensing experience is a plus and they will be working through and backlog and the ability to diagnose the issues is critical.
Job Descriptions:

  • The Licensing Controllership group is primarily responsible for managing the revenue / licensing accounting, rights management, analysis and reporting processes, and ensures all controls and policies around revenue recognition are in place for Consumer Products, Games and Publishing (CPGP), which is the sub-segment of client that merchandises the company s franchises. CPGP engages with licensees, publishers and retailers throughout the world to design, develop, publish, promote and sell a wide variety of products based on the Company s intellectual property. The licensing operations cover a diverse range of product categories such as toys, apparel, home dcor and furnishings, accessories, health and beauty, food, footwear, consumer electronics, books, magazines and interactive media.
  • This Senior Financial Accounting Analyst role is a great opportunity to gain knowledge in the Licensing business and continue to develop analytical skills, while implementing efficient and effective systems and processes. This role has high interaction with a broad array of regional controllership and finance teams and segment controllership management personnel. This position represents a unique opportunity to provide
    accounting, financial reporting and operational expertise, often within a team of other functional experts, on key business initiatives and special projects within the Company.
  • Perform all Licensing Revenue accounting functions including royalty statement processing and analysis, and cash management for assigned North America
    Games licensee population
  • Perform Royalty Expense accounting functions including preparation of royalty statements and processing of payments for assigned 3rd party obligations related
    to developers, name and likeness, and other participations.
  • Partner with their Contract Administration and Licensing Finance counterparts to ensure proper application of revenue recognition policies and practices, perform
    analysis and make recommendations on complex issues
  • Provide ownership of licensee accounts by demonstrating proactive management of all key elements of the revenue process and ensuring timely and accurate
    results
  • Perform assigned quarter-end close deliverables and reconciliations
  • Take leadership role in system and process improvement projects
  • Various ad-hoc projects and analysis

Basic Qualifications

  • Microsoft office suite with strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, basic IF formulas, etc.)
  • SAP preferred
  • Demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong relationship building skills and a highly professional client service orientation
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Excellent team player who possesses strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong communicator in both oral and written settings
  • High energy level; strong work ethic

Required Education

  • 4-Year Degree in Accounting
