Data Protection Manager

VGW is an interactive entertainment company, harnessing technology and creativity to deliver world-class, free-to-play online social games. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Sydney and are currently looking for a Data Protection Manager to join the team.

In this role, you will lead VGW's privacy function by advising on data privacy matters and administering the global privacy program.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance our existing privacy programs, policies, and procedures, and embeds privacy and data ethics into VGW's culture
• Maintains knowledge of applicable global privacy laws and information privacy technologies
• Take a lead role in assessing new legislation or other regulatory changes and making recommendations as necessary
• Engage with others in dealing with data protection authorities and policymakers, both in responding to inquiries from global regulators and in partnering with other teams

What You Will Bring

• Demonstrated experience in handling complex global privacy and data protection issues
• Experience in building strong partnerships and educating about complex regulatory schemes across various business functions
• Ability to navigate ambiguous situations, work well under pressure with diligence, with minimal supervision, and provide practical, real-world advice to the business
