Job Description



Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and quantify financial losses related to business interruption, property damage, inventory, and construction-related claims.
  • Review financial statements, revenue trends, expenses, invoices, inventory records, and supporting documentation to determine and support claim values.
  • Evaluate business interruption losses by analyzing changes in revenue, net income, and operating expenses.
  • Assess builder's risk and construction-related claims, including hard costs, soft costs, and delay-related impacts.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies and leverage industry data, benchmarks, and alternative documentation when records are incomplete.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and defensible financial analyses, loss calculations, and claim reports.
  • Collaborate with clients, legal counsel, consultants, claims professionals, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
  • Identify key documentation requirements and develop practical solutions to support complex claims investigations.


Qualifications

  • CPA designation required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, auditing, forensic accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong experience reviewing and analyzing financial statements, invoices, inventory records, and supporting documentation.
  • Advanced analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Proficiency in using financial data, industry research, and external sources to support analyses and conclusions.
  • Insurance claims, forensic accounting, or economic damages experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience collaborating with legal, consulting, construction, or claims-related professionals is a plus.
  • Familiarity with business interruption, property damage, inventory, or builder's risk claims is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
