JOB DESCRIPTION

Technical Aide

Hourly Pay Rate: $10.00 - $20.00

The Technical Aide will support the department/organization in various administrative and research tasks. The Technical Aide may work within a laboratory and assists with the department’s tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining, cleaning, and storing lab/facility equipment
• Stocking materials and equipment
• Preparing solutions and samples
• Assisting faculty and students with facility equipment
• Cleaning the laboratory/facility and ensuring proper safety etiquette
• Shipping and receiving packages
• Compiling instrument usage records
• Interacting with researchers, test subjects, students, and faculty
• Answering facility/lab communications
• Assisting with administrative day-to-day tasks
• Being knowledgeable of facility/department software, programs, and equipment

Qualifications:

• Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
• A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
• Prior or active enrollment in a particular class or course of study (potentially)
• Prior, relative experience with or working knowledge of relative software, programs, and equipment
