About the Role

We're supporting a leading defence organisation seeking a New Business Project Manager to join a growing programme team focused on supporting major domestic and international opportunities.

This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of project management, bid delivery and business growth. You'll work with stakeholders across multiple functions to coordinate complex proposals, support strategic growth initiatives and help deliver successful outcomes in a fast-paced programme environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing bids and new business activities from initial engagement through to approval and submission.
  • Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to develop competitive and deliverable proposals.
  • Developing cost models, schedules, assumptions and supporting documentation.
  • Working closely with technical, commercial, operational and finance stakeholders.
  • Supporting contract mobilisation activities following successful bid outcomes.
  • Providing regular progress updates and reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensuring governance, compliance and audit requirements are met throughout the bid lifecycle.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across business winning and project delivery activities.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience within project management, programme management or bid management environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Experience coordinating complex workstreams across multiple teams.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of project delivery and business acquisition activities.
  • Excellent organisation, planning and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-moving and evolving programme environments.
  • Experience within defence, engineering, aerospace or complex technology sectors would be beneficial.
