Java Full Stack Developer – Backend Focused

Locations: Detroit, MI | New Jersey | Georgia
Work Model: Hybrid 3 days onsite
Employment Type: W2
Experience Levels: Mid-Level (3–6 years) and Senior-Level (7+ years)

  • Mid-Level: 3–6 years of relevant experience.

  • Senior-Level: 7+ years of relevant experience, including strong experience in backend architecture, technical design, and mentoring.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Java Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in backend development and solid hands-on experience with modern frontend technologies. The role is primarily backend-focused, with approximately 70–80% backend and 20–30% frontend responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

  • Develop robust RESTful APIs, backend services, and business logic.

  • Work with JPA/Hibernate and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

  • Develop and integrate frontend applications using React.js or Angular.

  • Build responsive web components using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

  • Integrate frontend applications with backend REST APIs and external systems.

  • Write unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks.

  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and production support.

  • Work with Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders.

  • Follow best practices for application security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+

  • Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security

  • Microservices Architecture

  • REST APIs / Web Services

  • JPA / Hibernate

  • Strong SQL and relational database experience

  • React.js or Angular

  • JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3

  • JUnit / Mockito

  • Maven / Gradle

  • Git and CI/CD

  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.

  • Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ and OAuth2/JWT is a plus.
