Job Description

Test Engineer


Location: Raymond, OH


Pay: $36.00 - $41.00 per hour


Schedule: Onsite 4 days per week, Remote 1 day per week

We are seeking a Test Engineer to support automotive product validation, durability testing, and performance evaluation. This is an excellent opportunity for recent engineering graduates or candidates with 1-3 years of experience who want to build hands-on experience testing vehicle components in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and validation activities for automotive components and systems.

  • Perform environmental and durability testing, including heat, vibration, rain, and performance testing.

  • Set up test equipment, thermocouples, data acquisition systems, and instrumentation.

  • Analyze test data, interpret results, and determine compliance with engineering specifications and acceptance criteria.

  • Troubleshoot test issues and identify root causes of component failures.

  • Prepare detailed test reports, technical documentation, and engineering presentations.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to recommend design improvements and corrective actions.

  • Ensure testing accuracy, safety, and adherence to internal standards and procedures.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.

  • Open to entry level candidates and candidates with 1-3 years of engineering or testing experience.

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical testing preferred.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with CANalyzer, INCA, data acquisition systems, or automotive testing equipment is a plus.

  • Knowledge of automotive powertrain, engine, transmission, sensor, cooling, or under-hood systems preferred.
