Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: Wilmington, DE & Manhattan, NY onsite- local only

Duration: Contract to hire- 8 months

Job Description

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java/J2EE or Python development, Agile delivery, and CI/CD practices and a proven ability to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain secure, resilient applications.

- Seeking a 10+ years Senior Data Engineer.

- Must-have skills include Databricks, Snowflake, Python/Java, and Spark.

- Experience with AWS and legacy modernization is a significant plus.

Interview Process and Location Policy

- Interview process includes a coding round and a manager discussion, back-to-back.

- Remote candidates considered for initial Zoom interview, with an on-site second round.

Project Scope and Team Responsibilities

- Team responsible for data movement from external bureaus to internal teams.

- Projects involve processing new vendor data and modernizing legacy pipelines.

- The role focuses on data processing and passing, not data modeling.

Leadership and Soft Skills Expectations

- Technical leadership is a non-negotiable requirement for this senior position.

- Looking for potential for people leadership and strong soft skills.

• Goal to convert the contractor to a permanent employee within 6-12 months.
