Job Title: Data Architect dbt & Snowflake (Banking Domain)

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect with strong expertise in dbt and Snowflake to lead modern data platform initiatives within the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will have deep experience designing scalable cloud-native data architectures, implementing ELT frameworks using dbt, and optimizing Snowflake-based enterprise analytics environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise data architecture solutions using Snowflake and dbt.
  • Build scalable ELT pipelines, reusable transformation frameworks, and curated data marts.
  • Develop logical and physical data models for banking, financial, and regulatory data.
  • Implement dbt models, macros, tests, snapshots, lineage, and documentation.
  • Optimize Snowflake performance including warehouse sizing, clustering, partitioning, and cost management.
  • Support banking use cases such as:
    • Customer 360
    • Payments & Transactions
    • AML/Fraud Analytics
    • Regulatory Reporting
    • Risk & Treasury Analytics
    • Lending & Mortgage Reporting
  • Ensure data governance, security, auditing, and compliance standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with engineering, analytics, risk, and business teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Establish CI/CD, testing, and deployment best practices for analytics engineering.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience migrating legacy ETL platforms to dbt/Snowflake architecture.
  • Knowledge of real-time analytics and event-driven data pipelines.
  • Exposure to Kafka, Databricks, or cloud-native orchestration tools.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale data modernization programs.
