Job Description

Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator / Remote

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and support Linux-based servers and systems. The ideal candidate will ensure system performance, security, and availability while troubleshooting technical issues and supporting IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.
  • Perform system updates, patches, and backups.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and system security.
  • Support server deployments and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Document system configurations and operational procedures.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).
  • Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash) and system administration.
  • Understanding of networking, storage, and security concepts.
  • Experience with monitoring and backup tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, or LPIC) are a plus.
