In this role, you will proactively find, pursue and close pre-owned (used) motor coach sales with private operators across the Central, South Central and Southwestern United States, with the freedom to sell any coach in our pre-owned inventory, regardless of coach model or price point. This is a field-based position requiring significant travel and customer engagement. You will spend your time on the phone, on the road, and in front of customers building relationships, generating opportunities, and turning conversations into closed deals.

  • Support in valuation of POC trade-in units including understanding and accounting for key variables in market value such as make, model, year miles, condition, and current inventory levels.
  • Assist with marketing strategies for pre-owned units including direct sales, print, web, etc.
  • Work closely with inventory coordinators, sales, and service to help prioritize make-ready at service centers to optimize the timing of coach readiness.
  • Advising the organization of coaches on the lot and general cleanliness.
  • Support with evaluating certain potential trade-ins for the purpose of establishing trade values or marketing.
  • Structure creative deals, including brokered sales, fleet packages, trade-ins and demo coach strategies.
  • Spend significant time in the field, initiating on-site sales calls and visits with operators and attending industry events.
  • Professionally represent MCI for customer visits.
  • Help customers define their coach needs.
  • Prepare weekly activity reports.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in sales, transportation, or business administration
  • 5+ years of demonstrated sales success, preferably within the motorcoach, transportation, commercial vehicle, fleet, heavy equipment, or related industries.
  • Direct experience in motorcoach, charter bus, commercial bus, fleet vehicle, or transportation-related sales is strongly preferred.
  • Proven hunter with a track record of building your own pipeline through cold calling, prospecting and networking, as well as converting inbound inquiries into closed sales

  • Computer skills – MS Office products
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills required
  • Strong business acumen
  • Must live near a major airport
