This role supports our ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications and is central to embedding a strong, practical safety and sustainability culture across our warehouses and wider operations, including our field engineering workforce, reflecting RVM Systems' position as a sustainability-focused business.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety:

  • Develop, review, and maintain risk assessments, safe systems of work, and method statements across warehouse and field operations
  • Embed a positive, practical health and safety culture across warehouses and the wider business, working closely with warehouse, field, and office teams
  • Deliver or coordinate H&S training, inductions, and toolbox talks, including for new starters
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring appropriate reporting (including RIDDOR where applicable) and follow-up actions
  • Monitor compliance with COSHH, manual handling, DSE, fire safety, lone working, and vehicle/transport safety requirements
  • Support contractor management processes, including contractor inductions and site safety checks

Environment & Sustainability:

  • Own and maintain the Company's environmental management system, ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO 14001
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance, including waste management, energy use, and carbon footprint across warehouse and office sites
  • Support the business's wider sustainability objectives, ensuring environmental considerations are embedded in operational decision-making
  • Manage COSHH and hazardous substance handling in line with environmental as well as safety requirements
  • Keep up to date with environmental legislation and best practice, advising the business on required changes
  • Support waste reduction, recycling, and resource efficiency initiatives across warehouse and office operations

Quality & Governance:

  • Lead internal audits and support external certification audits across ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001, driving corrective actions where required
  • Keep up to date with relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, advising the business on required changes
  • Prepare regular H&S and environmental performance reporting for the Managing Director and senior leadership team
  • Champion continuous improvement in safety and environmental culture across a growing, increasingly warehouse- and field-based workforce

Ideal Experiences

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent); NEBOSH Diploma desirable
  • Proven experience in a Health, Safety and Environment Manager (or similar) role, ideally spanning warehouse/logistics and field-based operations
  • Practical, hands-on experience supporting ISO 9001, 14001, and/or 45001 management systems and audits
  • Strong working knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and embed culture change at all levels of the business
  • Full, valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to warehouse and field sites
  • Environmental qualification (e.g. IEMA) alongside NEBOSH
  • Experience within a logistics, warehousing, engineering, or field service environment
  • Experience managing H&S and environmental performance through a period of business growth or operational change
