Radar System Engineer (JAT) with Security Clearance

Overview Radar System Engineer (JAT ) LOCATION: Huntsville, Alabama JOB STATUS: Full-time CLEARANCE: Secret TRAVEL: 25% Astrion is seeking a candidate to provide Radar Systems Engineer support for a government customer in Huntsville, AL. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS: * Must currently possess an active and transferable DoD security clearance or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance. * Must be a US Citizen * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field required. Electrical Engineering is preferred. * Frequent travel, up to 25%, to contractor and test sites is required * Ability to develop custom analysis tools for data analysis and data management (experience with development in Python preferred) * Knowledge of radar systems is desired, but not required * Strong communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and government customers * Ability to work independently to learn new technologies, processes, programming languages * Work is onsite at the Astrion office RESPONSIBILITIES: * Evaluate the detection, tracking, classification and defeat capabilities of current and future Army Counter-Unmanned Aerial Radar Systems (C-UAS) * Collaborate with subject matter experts and OEMs to integrate radar systems into the existing System of Systems (SoS) architecture * Perform rapid data analysis in support of system testing at DoD and OEM test ranges * Coordinate with team members and U.S. government customers to execute studies, analyze the results, and prepare and present study findings #CJ
