We're recruiting for a leading UK telecommunications organisation seeking an experienced Senior Qualys Engineer with strong Fortinet FortiProxy experience to join a major cyber security programme.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll play a key part in expanding and optimising enterprise vulnerability management across a large, complex technology estate. You'll work closely with Network, Infrastructure and Security teams to onboard assets, manage vulnerability scanning, troubleshoot issues and improve the organisation's overall security posture.

This is not an architecture or consulting role. We're looking for someone with recent hands-on delivery experience who enjoys solving technical challenges in enterprise environments.

The Role

• Administer and optimise the enterprise Qualys platform.
• Onboard new assets and environments into Qualys.
• Configure and manage vulnerability scanning.
• Support remediation activities and vulnerability reporting.
• Work extensively within Fortinet FortiProxy and enterprise Proxy environments.
• Troubleshoot scanning, connectivity and network issues.
• Collaborate with Network, Infrastructure and Security teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Support continuous improvement of enterprise vulnerability management.

Essential Skills

Qualys

• Strong hands-on experience administering Qualys.
• Enterprise vulnerability management.
• Asset onboarding, discovery, scanning and remediation.
• Experience supporting Qualys within large enterprise environments.

Fortinet FortiProxy

• Strong commercial experience with Fortinet FortiProxy.
• Experience working within enterprise Proxy environments.
• Understanding of Proxy technologies and their interaction with vulnerability management.
• Ability to troubleshoot Proxy-related connectivity issues.

Networking

You'll also have strong knowledge of:

• IP Addressing
• Routing
• VLANs
• NAT
• Firewalls
• Proxies
• Enterprise network troubleshooting

You'll have experience working directly with Network, Infrastructure and Security teams to deliver operational and technical outcomes.

We're particularly interested in engineers who can demonstrate recent hands-on experience with:

• Qualys administration and platform management.
• Fortinet FortiProxy.
• Enterprise vulnerability management.
• Vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows.
• Troubleshooting complex enterprise environments.
• Working across Network, Infrastructure and Security teams.
