The Senior Tax & Finance Accountant will join the accounting and tax team in a hands-on role spanning tax compliance, financial reporting, foundation accounting, and general accounting functions. This opportunity is well suited to an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working across multiple entity types and contributing to a close-knit team.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare federal and state tax filings for trusts, individuals, gifts, foundations, corporations, and partnerships.
• Manage tax extensions, estimated payments, information returns, and related compliance requirements.
• Support investment accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other day-to-day financial activities.
• Assist with annual audits and prepare year-end schedules, workpapers, and financial statements.
• Review general ledger activity, record journal entries, and help maintain accurate financial records.
• Research and respond to tax notices and accounting, tax, or business-related inquiries.

Requirements

·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

·        5+ years of relevant professional experience.

·        Demonstrated experience preparing tax returns and financial statements; public accounting experience is a plus.

·        Strong knowledge of foundation tax filings, particularly Forms 990 and 990-PF, is highly preferred.

·        CPA or Enrolled Agent designation and payroll experience are preferred.

·        Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and professional judgment, with a consistent focus on accuracy.
