A leading international investment banking platform is seeking an experienced Managing Director to join its Industrials Investment Banking team in London. This is a rare opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a well-established franchise, helping to shape the growth of the Industrials practice across the UK and Europe.

The successful candidate will play a key role in originating and executing strategic advisory assignments while leveraging an extensive network of corporate clients, financial sponsors, and industry participants. The role offers significant autonomy, a highly collaborative culture, and access to a broad global platform with strong cross-border capabilities.

The Industrials sector continues to be one of the most active advisory verticals across Europe, with sustained demand for experienced sector specialists and origination-focused senior bankers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business development and origination efforts across the Industrials sector, building and deepening relationships with corporates, private equity sponsors, and key industry stakeholders.
• Generate and execute M&A, strategic advisory, capital raising, and other transaction opportunities across the UK and European markets.
• Serve as a trusted adviser to senior executives, boards, and shareholders on complex strategic and financial matters.
• Partner with sector, product, and country coverage teams to deliver integrated client solutions across multiple geographies.
• Mentor and develop junior bankers while helping shape the long-term growth strategy of the Industrials franchise.
• Drive transaction execution, ensuring the highest standards of client service and commercial outcomes.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record as a senior investment banker, typically at Director or Managing Director level within a leading investment bank, advisory firm, or financial institution.
• Deep expertise across the Industrials sector, with experience covering areas such as transportation & logistics, business services, capital goods, engineering, building products, manufacturing, industrial technology, or related subsectors.
• Demonstrable history of originating and executing successful M&A and strategic advisory mandates.
• Strong network of senior corporate executives, private equity sponsors, and financial stakeholders across the UK and Europe.
• Excellent leadership, relationship management, and business development capabilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and expand client relationships within a dynamic platform.
