Job Title: RF Design Engineer
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £50,000 to £70,000
Employment Type: Permanent
Working Arrangements: Onsite working
If you're an RF engineer who enjoys hands‑on design, problem‑solving, and developing high‑performance RF circuits from concept through to validation, this role offers real technical variety and ownership.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and developing RF circuits, subsystems, and architectures for new products.
- Creating and refining RF filters, amplifiers, and simulation models.
- Supporting prototype builds, debugging, optimisation, and performance testing.
- Preparing design documentation, specifications, and component selections.
- Collaborating with engineers across electronics, firmware, and test.
- Contributing to research, technology evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Providing support to existing designs in production when required.
What you'll need
- Minimum MSc or PhD in Electronics, RF Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Solid experience in RF circuit design and simulation tools (ADS or similar).
- Understanding of RF filters, amplifiers, and signal‑chain fundamentals.
- Strong analytical skills and a methodical, detail‑driven approach.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
Why this role?
You'll work across the full RF design lifecycle — from concept and modelling through to validation and production support — with the freedom to innovate and the opportunity to grow into more senior responsibilities over time.
