About the Role

At Penny Tree School, you'll have the time, support and freedom to teach in a way that helps students succeed academically, socially and emotionally.

We're looking for a passionate and committed Teacher to join our growing team. Whether your experience is in mainstream, SEND, primary or secondary education, we'd love to hear from you if you're motivated by helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their potential.

This is a rewarding opportunity to teach small classes, build meaningful relationships and adapt learning to meet individual needs. You'll be supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team and a collaborative group of colleagues who share a commitment to improving outcomes for every student. Some students may require personal care support, and you'll work alongside colleagues to ensure their wellbeing, dignity and individual needs are met.

Every day brings the chance to celebrate progress, build confidence and help young people achieve things they may never have believed possible.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to small groups of students.
  • Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs, abilities and EHCP outcomes.
  • Monitor progress and celebrate achievement, both academically and personally.
  • Work closely with Learning Support Assistants and other professionals to support student success.
  • Create a positive, structured and nurturing learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families and external professionals.
  • Support students to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
  • Where required, support students with personal care needs, ensuring dignity, safety and wellbeing at all times.

What you will bring

  • UK QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification).
  • Experience teaching in either primary, secondary, SEND or alternative provision settings.
  • A creative and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
  • Passionate about helping students with additional needs achieve positive outcomes.
  • Able to build strong relationships and inspire confidence in young people.
  • Resilient, patient and committed to inclusive education.
  • A team player who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and families.
