 We have multiple immediate openings for experienced Domain Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

Job Details

• Role Type: Contract (6 Months)
• Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite / 3 Days Remote)
• Candidate Location: Must be based in or near Mountain View, California (Silicon Valley)
• Weekly Commitment: 35 Hours
• Experience Required: 10+ Years
• AI Experience: Big Plus  

We are looking for experienced professionals from the following domains:

1. Finance / Accounting Domain SME

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or Financial Services.
• Strong understanding of financial processes, reporting, compliance, and accounting principles.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering and business teams to provide domain expertise.
• Experience reviewing business requirements and validating domain-specific solutions.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

2. Legal Domain SME

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in the Legal industry.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology, contracts, compliance, regulatory processes, and documentation.
• Ability to work closely with technical teams to provide domain guidance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

3. Medical Domain SME

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Healthcare or Medical environments.
• Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, healthcare operations, and medical terminology.
• Experience supporting healthcare technology initiatives is preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

4. Pharma Domain SME

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of drug development, clinical research, regulatory compliance, pharmacovigilance, or pharmaceutical operations.
• Ability to work with cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

5. Insurance Domain SME

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Property & Casualty, Life, Health, or Commercial Insurance.
• Strong understanding of underwriting, claims, policy administration, compliance, and insurance operations.
• Experience working with business and technology teams.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

6. STEM / Biochemistry / Life Sciences Domain SME

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in STEM, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences.
• Strong understanding of scientific research, laboratory processes, biotechnology, or life sciences operations.
• Ability to provide domain expertise for technical initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Project Overview

The selected Domain SMEs will collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, and product teams to improve the quality and accuracy of Large Language Models (LLMs) by contributing deep domain expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Define real-world workflows and use cases within your domain.
• Create evaluation scenarios, test cases, and success criteria for AI/LLM-generated outputs.
• Validate the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of AI-generated responses.
• Curate, review, and annotate domain-specific datasets.
• Develop evaluation rubrics and quality standards for AI models.
• Work closely with engineering and product teams to improve model performance.
• Provide continuous feedback to enhance AI capabilities and domain-specific reasoning.
• Assist with prompt engineering and evaluation of AI-generated content.

Required Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of professional experience in one of the listed domains.
• Strong domain knowledge and subject matter expertise.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience creating documentation, evaluation criteria, or business processes is highly preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, Data Annotation, or LLM evaluation is a plus but not required.

Preferred Domain Expertise

Finance / Accounting

• Financial reporting, accounting, banking, audits, compliance, taxation, or financial analysis.

Legal

• Contracts, legal operations, compliance, litigation support, regulatory affairs, or legal documentation.

Medical

• Clinical workflows, healthcare operations, medical terminology, patient care, or hospital systems.

Pharma

• Drug development, clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, or pharmaceutical operations.

Insurance

• Underwriting, claims, policy administration, risk management, compliance, or insurance operations.

STEM / Biochemistry / Life Sciences

• Scientific research, biotechnology, laboratory operations, life sciences, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related fields.
