About the Role

Join Super Retail Group as a Senior Network & Communications Engineer where you will play a pivotal role in architecting, designing, and delivering high-performing network and communication solutions that keep our business connected and running at its best.

Reporting to the Head of Network & Communications Platforms, you'll lead the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise-scale network platforms-from strategic planning and design through to implementation, optimisation, and ongoing management-ensuring maximum uptime and seamless user experience. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, large-scale environments while driving innovation and continuous improvement across our network and communications landscape.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Network & Communications Infrastructure: Provisions/installs, configures, and maintains infrastructure services and components.
• Network & Communications Architecture: Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of network & communications solutions in accordance with architectural principles, and drive adoption of necessary system changes when required.
• Network Support: Carries out agreed network maintenance tasks and specified operational configuration of network components.
• Stakeholder Relationship Management: Provide insight into problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and the collection and dissemination of relevant information.

Please note that this role requires some on-call availability. The successful candidate must be willing to respond to urgent issues that may arise outside of regular working hours during scheduled on-call periods.

This role is based at our Brisbane Support Office in Strathpine, operating in a hybrid work environment.

About You

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Network & Communications Engineer who thrives in a predominantly engineering-focused role, while also bringing the capability to contribute to architecture and strategic design. You enjoy balancing day-to-day technical delivery with higher-level planning and solution design.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, support, tuning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of networks (including SD WAN) and voice, while providing enterprise security, solutions design and delivery, migrations, and infrastructure automation, alerts, and monitoring across a wide range of platforms
• Demonstrated experience in design, configuration, commissioning of telco carrier services (e.g. Optus/Megaport/Telstra/Vodaphone)
• Experience in implementing and managing voice over IP (VoIP) platforms
• Experience in large ( sites) geographically diverse network environmentsProven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices
• Strong experience in networking and voice platforms: Cisco, Meraki, AWS, Cisco Collaboration, and Webex
• Certification: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Desirable but not Essential

• Experience in Python and other network automation practices
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist (CMSS)
• ITIL Certification
