About the Role
We are looking for a Product Manager – Retail Marketing to lead product strategy, marketing, customer engagement, and go-to-market initiatives for a retail-focused mobile application.
This is a senior product role that sits at the intersection of Product Management, Retail, Marketing, Digital Commerce, and Technology. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing digital products within a retail environment and will be responsible for translating customer and market needs into product strategies that drive adoption, engagement, customer value, and revenue growth.
The role requires a strong understanding of the retail ecosystem, excellent cross-functional leadership skills, and the ability to work closely with business, marketing, merchandising, operations, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and evolve product vision, positioning, value propositions, and long-term roadmap aligned with retail market needs, customer expectations, and business objectives.
- Market & Customer Insights: Lead competitive analysis, customer research, market assessment, and retail trend monitoring to identify opportunities and inform product strategy and prioritization.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute launch strategies, product messaging, positioning, and retail-specific activation plans for new products, capabilities, and features.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with marketing, sales, merchandising, retail operations, engineering, and other business stakeholders to establish priorities, drive alignment, and ensure successful product execution.
- Retail Marketing & Campaigns: Develop and manage omnichannel marketing initiatives across mobile, digital, and retail channels to increase product adoption, engagement, and revenue.
- Product Enablement: Develop sales playbooks, training materials, product messaging, and customer-facing collateral tailored to retail stakeholders, buyers, and business users.
- Product & Performance Analytics: Define and monitor key metrics including conversion, engagement, adoption, retention, customer behavior, and category/product performance. Use insights to continuously optimize the product and marketing strategy.
- Customer Engagement: Develop programs and strategies that strengthen retailer and customer relationships while improving the overall product experience across mobile, digital, and physical retail channels.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Own the product lifecycle from concept and launch through ongoing enhancement, optimization, and eventual sunset, ensuring the product continues to deliver measurable customer and business value.
- Revenue & Growth: Identify opportunities to increase adoption, expand market share, improve profitability, and develop new revenue streams through product and marketing initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Present product strategy, performance, insights, and recommendations to senior business stakeholders and drive informed decision-making across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall professional experience, with at least 5+ years of hands-on Product Management experience.
- Proven experience managing digital products, mobile applications, retail technology, e-commerce platforms, or consumer-facing products.
- Strong understanding of the retail industry, including customer journeys, retail operations, merchandising, digital commerce, and omnichannel experiences.
- Demonstrated experience owning product strategy, product roadmaps, positioning, prioritization, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Experience partnering closely with engineering, marketing, sales, merchandising, and operations teams in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong understanding of retail marketing and customer engagement strategies.
- Experience using product and customer analytics to measure performance, identify opportunities, and drive product decisions.
- Strong ability to translate customer needs, market insights, and business objectives into product requirements and actionable roadmaps.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and influence teams without direct authority.
