SAP MM Consultant / Project Lead

Location: Waukegan, IL
Duration: 10 Months Contract
Work Arrangement: Hybrid/On-site as required

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Consultant / Project Lead to support multiple SAP projects in a complex enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of SAP MM experience, strong hands-on configuration expertise, and a deep understanding of procurement and Materials Management processes.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, developers, and cross-functional teams to design, configure, test, document, and implement SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support medium-to-large SAP MM projects, including solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for SAP Materials Management and Procurement processes.
• Perform SAP MM configuration and develop functional design specifications and detailed documentation.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams and developers on integrations and custom developments.
• Ensure integration between SAP MM and other modules, including FI/CO, SD, PP, PS, and external systems.
• Support process standardization and continuous improvement across SAP environments.
• Participate in testing activities, defect resolution, and deployment planning.
• Provide strong documentation, status updates, and stakeholder communication.
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and global teams.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP MM experience.
• Strong experience with SAP ECC; S/4HANA experience is not required.
• Extensive experience in SAP MM configuration, functional design, testing, and implementation.
• Strong understanding of Materials Management, Purchasing, and Procurement processes.
• Experience with SAP MM integration with other SAP modules and external systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with business and technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Solution Manager and SAP testing/documentation tools.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
• Experience working in global, multi-country SAP environments.
• Knowledge of complex organizational and financial structures.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management experience.
