The Role

• Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from various transport modes such as railcars and trucks.
• Position equipment and containers throughout the intermodal yard.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage container movements and daily tasks efficiently.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts and potential weekends/holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions is expected.
