Job Description
We are working with an established, global organisation with offices in North Yorkshire who are seeking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to lead the HR function here in the UK. Supporting a small team across a number of sites, the successful candidate will be looking for a challenging opportunity where they can lead, drive and implement change, reporting into the global HR Manager, key duties and responsibilities will include;
- Leading the Human Resources team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the wider business.
- Significantly contribute to the Group HR practices & objectives
- Consistently focus on engendering a high-performance culture
- Line management of Human Resources team including training, career development & appraisals
- Keep job descriptions up to date, accurate and relevant to assist the performance management programme
- Implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement
- Measuring employee satisfaction and identifying areas that require improvement
- Managing talent and succession planning
- Implementation of services, policies & programmes
- Actively manage all Employee relations issues
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, support morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of people.
- Coaching managers on performance management issues and providing development guidance for their teams
- Develop & maintain relationships with appropriate external parties
- Ensure & facilitate thorough communication with the wider business & the rest of the Management Team to add maximum value to customer service
- Working in a culture that encourages respect, performance, open communication & commitment to compliance
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Manager who has worked within a global setting. This fully office-based role requires a car driver as presence at all sites is essential. The successful candidate will have;
- Proven & experienced HR Manager
- CIPD Level 7 qualified
- Background within manufacturing/production would be advantageous
- Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent written & spoken communication skills, able to remain calm under pressure
- Confident IT skills, proven record of using all Microsoft programmes
- Knowledge of employment laws & practices
- Experience in administration of HR programmes
- Exemplary organisational skills, always maintaining discretion & tactfulness
