Job Description – DevOps Engineer / Docker

Job Summary

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Docker and containerization to support application deployment, automation, infrastructure, and CI/CD activities. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of cloud platforms, Linux, container orchestration, and DevOps tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Docker containers and containerized applications.
• Create and manage Dockerfiles, Docker Compose, images, volumes, and networks.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, and deployment.
• Automate deployment and infrastructure-related activities.
• Manage application environments across development, testing, and production.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance and troubleshoot deployment issues.
• Work with development teams to improve application deployment and release processes.
• Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using Git.
• Support Kubernetes environments and container orchestration.
• Implement DevOps best practices for security, scalability, availability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, container, networking, and deployment issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Docker and containerization.
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Good understanding of Git and source-control practices.
• Basic to strong knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience with scripting using Shell/Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Good understanding of networking, security, and application deployment concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
