Job Title: z/OS DB2 DBA with SQL Experience Location: Marysville OH (4 day onsite) Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced z/OS DB2 DBA with strong SQL expertise to support enterprise mainframe database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for DB2 database administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup & recovery, and supporting mission-critical applications running on IBM z/OS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain DB2 databases on IBM z/OS platform

• Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations

• Monitor database performance and implement tuning recommendations

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures

• Handle backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and database security activities

• Support application teams with database design and SQL optimization

• Perform space management, reorgs, runstats, and utility management

• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide root cause analysis

• Work with developers, infrastructure, and support teams for production deployments

• Ensure database availability, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with DB2 Database Administration on z/OS

• Hands-on experience with SQL query development and performance tuning

• Knowledge of DB2 utilities (REORG, RUNSTATS, COPY, LOAD, RECOVER)

• Experience with JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and mainframe environments

• Familiarity with database backup/recovery strategies

• Experience with production support and incident management

• Understanding of database security and access management

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with IBM tools and mainframe performance monitoring tools

• Knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, and database automation

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology

• Banking or financial domain experience preferred

Experience:

• 5+ years of DB2 z/OS DBA experience

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
